The light changed very quickly this afternoon. Within an hour the bright white snow got lit by the sunset then became night…

Quilted Coats

I’m on the hunt for ski wear for a trip early next year and in doing so have seen a flood of quilted jackets in stores and online. My sister-in-law grabbed a quilted down coat for a bargain £29 in a charity shop recently and said that wearing it felt like “I’m wrapped in a duvet” which sounded like the perfect solution for the cold months ahead.

Autumn is here, & so are new collections from Hobbs & Mango


As we edge nearer to Winter our pastel coloured clothes are carefully stored away till next year *sigh*, and out come the warm knits, the woollen skirts and cosy coats in woodland colours. This Autumn/Winter is it all about deep reds like ox-blood and crimson, tweeds and leather.

Snow boots!


Now that Christmas is past and we have yet to see any really wintry weather my thoughts turn to purchasing a pair of sensible but stylish boots for wearing on the way to work (or play) when it is icy or when the heavens have opened and turned our somewhat grey London streets into a proper winter wonderland, with snow adorning every car and everything seems brighter and cleaner.

The weather is slowly becoming cooler. Recently my morning walk to work forced me to dig out my autumn scarf and my winter coat as I’ve found it much easier to wear it over a top or tee than to wrap up in a cardigan or jumper and then sweat to death…
